Common thought in Parentland is that life is full of teachable moments. You know, those little moments of golden opportunity where you are able to share your hard earned wisdom with your children while they share their new found talent for eye rolling.

While much effort is focused on finding these moments for the children, I believe that it is just as important for adults to realize them too.

In effort to start a world-wide recognition of these teachable moment I present to you the top 3 things I learned today while taking my kids swimming.

1) Bikini tops are not designed for lopsided mom boobs.

2) I should never be a lifeguard because everyone would drown while waiting for me to get through my little old lady pool entrance routine.

3) The pool will always have an odd break in action at the exact same time that my daughter shrieks at my son "Just pee in the pool like me."
