Dear Friends:

I sincerely hope that your dream comes true that your children will be trained to never engage in loud/rude/irritating behavior.  If, sadly, this dream does not come true, I will be there when you call to tell me your children are driving you nuts, tape recorder in hand, to remind you of all the times you preached to me about mine.

A tape recorder makes saying “I told you so” so much, much easier.
